The first event of the Summer Reading Program is the Reading Contract. When you register, you will set a goal for the number of minutes you will read this summer. Color a book for every 15 minutes you read and turn your completed Reading Log into the library by August 1st. If you reach your goal, you will be able to pick a Kid Kit as your prize!

The second event is the Reading Without Walls Challenge. There will be 3 different challenges meant to get you out of your comfort zone and read something different than what you typically read. Return your completed Summary for each challenge to the library by August 1st and you will receive 1 book of your choice and a Barlow Library drawstring bag that is yours to take home!

Additional Information
Each week the GUESS Jar, which sits on the Kid Librarian’s desk, will be filled with different items. Kids guess the number of items (1 guess per kid). The winners will choose 1 fun prize.
