​Valid photo ID and Barlow Memorial Library card required.  How do I get a library card?

What is the Adventure Pass?
In partnership with Blank Park Zoo, Science Center of Iowa, Grout Museum, and Reiman Gardens, the Barlow Memorial Library provides free passes to area attractions by using a valid adult Barlow Memorial Library card and a valid photo ID. 

Who can check out the Adventure Pass?
Library patrons (ages 18+ and in good standing) use their library card to check out a pass to participating venues through the IAP website.
  • Patrons may check out 1 pass for each venue per year. 
  • Reserve a pass up to 60 days in advance. 
  • Adventure Passes are only available through your home library.
How do I reserve a pass?
Go to iowaadventurepass.org and click on "Book a Pass."  Select your home library from the drop down menu then follow the on screen prompts to select a date and venue and use your library card number to reserve the pass. 
You will need you library card number and the PIN is the last 4 digits of your card number. ​

How do I use the pass to enter the venue?
After reserving online, print the confirmation page.  Present a valid photo ID and the printed pass at the gates to be admitted to the venue.  Name on the pass must match the photo ID. 

How do I cancel or change a reservation?
Contact the library at least 1 day prior to your reserved day.  If canceled in time, you may reserve a pass to that venue at a later date. 

What are the guidelines for using the passes?
  • Each cardholder may reserve a pass to each venue once every 365 days.
  • Reserve the date you plan to visit the attraction.
  • Passes are good for regular admission of two adults (Ages 13+) and two children (ages 12 & under).
  • Contact the library at least 1 day prior to your reserved day.  If canceled in time, you may reserve a pass to that venue at a later date.

As a program partner, the library must abide by all partnership guidelines.

Restrictions/Limitations by attraction:

Blank Park Zoo
  • Zoo passes cannot be used for ZooBrew, Night Eyes or any other special member events.
Science Center of Iowa Passes:
  • Science Center of Iowa passes cannot be used for special member events.
  • IMAX movies are not included with the pass.

Passes CANNOT be used for any other special member events.
