Friends of the Library
|
Friends of the Library is a nonprofit advocacy organization which supports the Library. Our volunteer members advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Library, its patrons, and the community. The Friends raise funds to be used by the Library for activities not ordinarily covered under the Library's operating budget since ongoing Library operations are paid for by city and county dollars. The Friends currently have almost 200 members.

How Do I Become a Friend of the Library? The Friends annual membership drive is held each fall. Stop in the library and complete a membership form, or submit the Friends Membership Form online, and mail or drop off your payment at the library.
New this year! Add on to your membership to support Hoopla, one of the library's most popular programs. With Hoopla, patrons can download e-audiobooks, graphic novels, e-books, movies, music, and television shows, all with no holds queue, up to 5 per month. Friends of the Barlow Library provides quarterly financial support for Hoopla. Your added donation as a Hoopla Helper or Hoopla Hero will ensure that the library can sustain Hoopla at its current level, so our patrons can continue discovering and enjoying materials from Hoopla.
