Friends of the Library
Friends of the Library is a nonprofit advocacy organization which supports the Library. Our volunteer members advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Library, its patrons, and the community. The Friends raise funds to be used by the Library for activities not ordinarily covered under the Library's operating budget since ongoing Library operations are paid for by city and county dollars. The Friends currently have almost 200 members.
Fund Raising Activities The Friends group has provided a variety of activities to raise funds to support library services. Some of these services include funding activities for the Summer Reading Program, DVD and book purchases and landscaping design and upkeep. Meeting Dates and Times The Friends meet the second Monday evening of the month in the Conference Room of the library at 5:30pm from September through May. The Friends always welcome volunteer assistance. Please call the library if you wish to volunteer your time. Officers and Board Members
