Covid-19 Information
Library Closure After careful consideration and consultation with our city government, we have decided to close the Robert W. Barlow Memorial Library to the public effective Tuesday, March 17th. We do not have a set date as to when we will reopen, but we expect to be closed for at least a month.
We will be suspending all youth and adult programming as well as meeting room reservations through the end of April. We will be contacting those who have room reservations. Feel free to contact us about how you would like any deposit fees returned. Our public WiFi will continue to be available near the building in the parking lot area during the day and after hours until 10:00pm each night so that our patrons can access the internet. There will be staff at the library Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm to renew materials and answer any questions over the phone. Materials can be dropped off in the book drop, located to the left of the front doors. There will be no fines assessed on materials during this hiatus. We encourage our patrons to make use of the library's website IowaFallslib.com for online resources and the Bridges e-library for additional book checkouts. Thank you for your understanding as we take proactive measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Stay tuned to learn about more library resources available online through the coming weeks. If you have any questions or need assistance over the phone, please feel free to call 648-2872. Erin Finnegan-Andrews, Library Director |
