Summer Library Program 2025
Our theme this summer is Level Up at Your Library!
Read, earn prizes, explore, create, and learn through fun and engaging events!
Programs are FREE and open to all children and families. Prizes can be earned by kids from birth - entering 6th grade in the Iowa Falls-Alden School District or other children in the 50126 zip code.
Storytime is geared towards ages Kindergarten and under and Kids Lego Club is for ages 17 and under.
As always, library programs are FREE!
Every child that attends Iowa Falls Schools, pre-school through 5th grade, will get a packet sent home with them from the school!

Reading Log
Write down how many minutes you read or are read to each day in the trail of spaces (suggested 10 minute minimum). Once you reach the Finish space, add all of your minutes together and write the total number in the Finish box. Return your Reading Log to the library to claim your prize - a NEW book for your home library!
No matter how far you get, you can turn in your Reading Log for a prize. Calendars must be returned to the library by August 1st. |
BINGO Card
Complete activities on the sheet; when you get a BINGO (across, down or diagonal), return your sheet to the library to receive a $5 Chamber Bucks Certificate!
Limit of 1 bingo per child. BINGO Cards must be returned to the library by August 1st.

If you submit both your BINGO Card and Reading Log, you will have the opportunity to select a 3D printed item from our collection to take home and keep.

Additional Information
Adventure Pass Information-The Barlow Library is participating in a program that allows library patrons to check out a pass for 2 adults and 2 children to the Blank Park Zoo, Reiman Gardens, Grout Museum, and the Science Center of Iowa. Click on the link above to reserve your tickets.
Graphix Club-Join us to talk all things Graphic Novels! Ages 8-12 welcome. Stop in to the library anytime in June to get the book, Pawcasso by Remy Lai, for the first meeting on June 27th and the July book, Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy by Tui Sutherland on July 25th.
Kids Lego Club-Join us for Lego free build Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-4:30PM. Available for ages 17 and under only. Free and no registration required! **NO LEGO CLUB: July 2nd & 23rd
Story Time-Every Tuesday morning at 10:30AM, with a few exceptions! Join us for stories, music, and more. Designed for ages kindergarten and under. Please note that not all Story Times are held at the library. See the calendar above for more information!
